Aphex delivers project management consultancy, resourcing and software solutions to the global life sciences industry. The company is also behind Chemishield, a mobile SaaS solution for laboratories which prevents incompatible mixing of chemical waste, providing real-time analytics on chemical usage, thus ensuring complete safety and efficiency.
It caters to a host of global pharma companies based in Ireland, Europe and the US. The software was developed in collaboration with founder Kevin Wash’s alma mater, WIT, and the Telecommunications, Software and Systems Group (TSSG) there, thanks to Enterprise Ireland’s innovation voucher system.
The firm has also launched an online version of the Chemishield software enabling smaller-scale companies to easily purchase the software.
Waterford based TriviumVet develops cutting edge animal therapeutics for pets. Founders Louise Grubb and Tom Brennan self-financed initially before securing a 2018 funding round of €3.24 million in September 2018 from a selection of notable Irish investors – including former rugby international Gordon D’Arcy and Niall Wall (ex-chief Executive of Ardagh Group). Liam Fitzgerald, ex-chief executive of UDG, recently took on the role of chairman of the board,
TriviumVet has European approval of its first product for and EU orphan drug designation for its lead molecule in development and it has recently acquired the veterinary rights from a number of novel human products for its pipeline.
It is currently running clinical trials on a number of key products and opening US FDA rug registration files.
