Founder Friday Waterford, is a free monthly meetup on the first Friday of every month. Its where people share their story about starting and growing their business(s) It is an opportunity to meet and make new connections, share your own story and engage with like minded or not so like minded people, on a similar entrepreneurial path. Founder Friday welcomes everyone with an interest in starting or growing a business including and not limited to techies, designers, filmmakers, foodies, and business folk.


Bébhínn McGrath, Fashion Designer and Founder of Bébhínn a sustainable and ethical fashion clothing label desiigned and made sustainable materials Irish Linen and Merino Wool. With a dressmaker Mum and knitter Grandmother, Bébhínn McGrath has fashion in her blood and has always been surrounded by fabrics and fashion all her life. She studied Fashion in London and Costume Design in IADT. Bébhínn has worked in the Film & TV Industry on a variety of productions including Brooklyn, Vikings and What Richard Did. Bébhínn returned home and established her business in 2016. She has particitipated in the New Frontiers Programme run by WIT and in Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE).

David Sheehan is an entrepreneur, inventor, founder and CEO of FastForm Research, a medical device technology company specialising in the design and development of an innovative range of products for the stabilisation of fractures and soft tissue injuries. Established in Waterford 15 years ago, FastForm Research also has a subsidiary in the USA and strategic distribution deal with a large US medical company. On his journey establishing and growing FastForm Research, David has developed valuable business and commercial experience of building, financing companies, developing proprietary technology, designing innovative products and generating IP for his company. He also has gained hand-on experience in the areas of R&D, new product development, business development, HR, Recruitment, Legal & Finance, PR, Sales and marketing and commercialisation of the company’s products.

Mel Clohosey is the Founder & CEO of SocialFeedia, an Innovative Tech Agri-Food business management system, which helps farmers to plan and improve the methods of producing and selling food directly to customers. SocialFeedia uses intelligent data analytics and ecommerce to help farmers identify new routes to market and customers to buy directly from them. It follows the Food the Fork principle and connects local people to local fresh produce. By profession, Mel is an Architect with a Masters in Architecture and a Masters in Planning. He farms in his spare time and SocialFeedia has come from a combination of Mel’s passion from farming, planning and designing. From start-up in 2016, Mel completed the WIT New Frontiers Programme 2016/2017, was a finalist in the 2016 Forbes IBM London Smart Cities Challenge, winner of the Irish Best Young Entrepreneur in Kilkenny in 2016 and winner of the best idea category.
