Funding for Female Founders Event a great Success

South East BIC, Bank of Ireland, Network Waterford and Local Enterprise Office Waterford hosted an workshop Funding for Female Founders on Wednesday last in Bank of Ireland Workbench,

The Quay. A great crowd heard all about the supports offered by South East BIC from Aidan Shine and Rosemary Ward and from Jacqui Gaule of Waterford LEO. Ann-Marie McSorley of Veri told her story and gave the participants great insight into her background, how she came to identify the gap in the market for Veri and how she has funded it to date. The primary focus of the workshop was to launch Enterprise Ireland’s Competitive Start Fund for Females which is currently open – with €50,000 available to innovative startups. Veri successfully achieved this funding and continued on to become an Enterprise Ireland High Potential Startup Up (HPSU).
