Through supportive technology, HaloCare’s customers can continue living their normal lives in these communities with the knowledge that HaloCare is always there to support them should they need it, with sensors that work seamlessly in the background.

HaloCare offers a suite of assistive technologies with live, around-the-clock support to older people living in their own homes. HaloCare’s contactless technology in the home is supported by Care Specialists in our 24/7 Care Hub giving customers peace of mind. Intelligent devices can, for example, detect a fall even if the person is unable to call out for help. Highly trained Care Specialists then verify with the older person if they need help and alert their Circle of Care immediately.

Professional homecare providers do a fantastic job but are often limited to an hour or two per day. Innovative technology like HaloCare, with 24/7 real-time support, can play a positive and significant role for the remaining 22 hours. The HaloCare solution is there to support caregivers and are committed to creating a better future for older people.

The entire system is underpinned by an experienced team of nurses and care specialists at the company’s 24/7 Care Hub in Carlow town. The result is a greater independence for the older person to live in their own home, increased health and safety awareness, and reduced loneliness, whilst their privacy and dignity is protected at all times. HaloCare fosters independence and empowers people to live a better quality of life, with the care they need when and where they need it.
David Walsh, CEO, HaloCare said; “Most older people want to stay in the comfort of their own home for as long as they can. However, there’s always a worry; what if they have a fall or medical emergency in the middle of the night or indeed other times when there’s no one there to help. Our technologies are unintrusive – there are no cameras and no equipment taking up space in the home. Their home is still their home but with the added benefit of a 24/7 support system that includes fall prevention, personal and environmental safety, social and cultural interconnectivity, and much more.”

South East BIC was delighted to work with the founders of Halocare as they built their strategic vision and their investor-ready business plan. In less than 2 years, Halocare has successfully raised private investment along with HPSU investment from Enterprise Ireland, developed and commercialised their offering, is trading and employing 23 people in Carlow with ambitious plans for growth.
